How to Connect Mirror Ai to Claude for Live Crypto Research

How to Connect Mirror Ai to Claude for Live Crypto Research

Most crypto research happens in too many tabs: a price site, a block explorer, a regulator's website and a chat window to make sense of it all. What if you could ask one question and have Claude look up the answer across those sources for you? That's what connecting Mirror Ai to Claude does. This guide walks you through setting it up in the Claude desktop app.

Why connect Mirror Ai to Claude?

On its own, Claude answers from what it learned during training. That knowledge stops at a cut-off date, but crypto keeps moving: prices change, new tokens launch and regulators update their rules. Connecting Mirror Ai makes the answers stronger in three ways:

They're current. Claude looks up live figures and recent research at the moment you ask, instead of relying on memory.
They're traceable. Each answer names the Mirror Ai tool it used and shows when the data was last updated, so you can see where it came from.
The data is stronger. Claude can use 48 Mirror Ai tools across market data, DeFi, research, security and compliance, covering things a general assistant can't check on its own, like whether a wallet address has been flagged.

During setup you'll see the letters MCP (Model Context Protocol). It's simply the standard that lets tools like Mirror Ai plug into AI assistants like Claude; think of it as a universal charging cable. Instead of guessing from memory, Claude pulls current figures and stored research at the moment you ask, and tells you which tool it used.

What Mirror Ai data can you access?

Once connected, Claude can use 48 Mirror Ai tools across five areas:

  • Market data
  • DeFi
  • Research
  • Security
  • Compliance

Before you connect

A few things are worth having in place first:

  1. An active Mirror Ai plan (a trial is fine to start). It's important to know that access pauses if a plan lapses and resumes when it is active again. You can sign up here: https://mirror.glasslane.io/
  2. Claude Desktop and an active Claude account (a free account is fine to start). Be mindful, Claude only allows one custom connector on a free account. If you already have at least one other connector, your account will need Pro or higher to add the Mirror Ai MCP. You can download Claude Desktop here: https://claude.com/download

Make sure you are signed in to both before going to the next step.

Connecting Mirror Ai in Claude Desktop

  1. Open Settings
  2. Open Customize
  3. Open Connectors
  4. Select the + button and choose Add custom connector
  5. Name it Mirror Ai and paste the server URL: https://mcp.mirror.glasslane.io/mcp
  6. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret fields empty
  7. Select Add, then Connect
  8. Claude will then redirect you to the Mirror Ai website. Make sure you are signed in to Mirror Ai, then select Allow access

Now let's return to Claude Desktop to test the connection:

  1. Open a new chat
  2. Click the + inside the chat box, then select Connectors
  3. Make sure the Mirror Ai toggle is on
  4. Test the connection with a question

Now it's time to ask Claude a question to check the connection is fully successful. You can ask any question for research and education. Here are some examples:

  1. Security: "Use the mirror server to check the reputation of this address and tell me whether it appears in the threat feed."
  2. Research: "Use the mirror server to pull the research findings for this token and cite the evidence behind each one."
  3. Compliance: "Use the mirror server to summarise the regulatory rules that apply to a staking product in Australia and Singapore, and note where they conflict."
  4. Market data: "Use the mirror server to chart SOL's hourly candles for the last week and tell me where volatility spiked."

Two habits that make the answers more useful

  1. Name the server in each request ("use the mirror server") so Claude reaches for Mirror Ai rather than answering from general knowledge.
  2. Ask for sources so you can see where each figure came from.[2]
What the connector does not do

The connector retrieves and organises information. It does not place trades, and it does not know your personal circumstances or provide financial advice. Data should be used for research and education purposes only.
